Community Programs
The Southern Arizona Woodturners Association is a 501(c)3 non profit club that supports a variety of community programs.
Beads of Courage is a Tucson based dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and teens coping with serious illness.

Toys for children is a local Tucson program that provides toys for needy kids at Christmas. Toys for Children is a Desert Woodcrafters program. Members of both clubs make toys for the pre-kindergarten to second grade age level.

The Southern Arizona Diaper Bank is an Arizona organization that provides baby diapers, adult incontinent products and feminine hygiene products for those who cannot afford them. Members donate turned items for an annual auction.
​
Pens for Troops is a Woodcraft of Tucson program. Members turn pens to be sent to active U.S. servicemen as a thank you for their service.
​
Purple Heart Pens is a SAZWA program that distributes pens made from purple heart wood for distribution to Military Order of the Purple Heart members.
